I. Why Establish the Strategic Alliance For Value Added – Palm Oil Plantations & Palm Oil Mills

  1. To realize and achieve the true potential of any Palm Oil Plantation & Palm Oil Mill with regards to productivity and cost effectiveness within the planted areas, and as concerns the extraction rate and the highest quality of CPO and Kernels produced by the Palm Oil Mills.
     
  2. Enhance the Corporate Social Responsibility of the Plantation Companies and Palm Oil Mills through :
    • Improving the terms and conditions and well being of all the Plantation and Palm Oil Mill workers.
    • Improving the amenities for the Plantation and Palm Oil Mill workers and their families through establishment of schools, clinics and other facilities.
    • Ensuring the safety of all workers by ensuring proper safety standards and practices.

  4. Currently the average production of CPO per hectare in Malaysia is 3.7 tons. Through the Strategic Alliance for a Value-Added Plantation this can be increased to not less than 5.5 tons.
